The District Chief Executive for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Hon. Alfred Amoah has advised parents to take advantage of the Free Senior High School Education policy in order to secure a brighter future for their wards since education is the backbone of every developed Country.
According to him, Education is the only way to the progress and prosperity of Individuals, Communities and the Nation as a whole and country that fails to give prime of place to education and quality education for matter would lag(leave) behind.
Adding that, this event marks a milestone in the history of our motherland. There had been a lot of speculation in the promises that were made by NPP government prior to being elected into power were nothing but a guise to woe voters. However, to the dismay of our critics and the doubting (Thomas’s) it has finally come to fruition.
The Program attracted a lot of dignitaries including, DCE, Education Director, Traditional Authorities, Headmasters from various Schools, Teachers, Market Women. Other were students from Bibiani Senior High School, Chirano Senior High School, Queen Senior High School and Bekwai Senior High School respectively.
The Direct Director of Education Madam Mercy Emefa Boateng Speaking at the launching said, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, vision for Free Senior High School aimed at building an educated populace for speedy National Development and progress.
She explain the package of Free SHS that, there will be no admission fees, no Library fees, no Laboratory fees,no Science Centre fees,no Computer fees, no Examination fees,no utility fees. There will also be no textbook and no boarding fees and finally free hot meals for day Students as well.
She continued that, the Free Senior High School is an opportunity for every Ghanaian child to have access to equitable and affordable education.
Director finally hinted that, the Free Senior High School Education Policy also covers Agricultural and Technical Institutions at High School level.
