Western North Regional Chief Director Visits the Municipal Assembly

The Western North Regional Chief Director, Madam Jemima Lomotey, accompanied by her entourage, paid a working visit to the Municipal Assembly.

During the visit, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and the Assembly’s management led the delegation on a tour of selected ongoing and completed development projects within the municipality to showcase progress in infrastructure and local development.

In her address to staff, Madam Jemima Lomotey encouraged the Assembly to strive to become a model of good governance and institutional excellence. She urged staff to continue giving their best, uphold professionalism, and build a strong reputation for the Assembly.

She emphasized that “our current position is not our destination,” reminding staff that there is always room for growth, improvement, and greater achievement.

The Coordinating Director of the Municipal Assembly (Alhaji Boffour Ahmed Haruna) also addressed staff, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, commitment, and dedication to duty in achieving the Assembly’s objectives.

Madam Lomotey further challenged staff to reflect on key questions that would guide their professional development and improve their contribution to the Assembly’s work. These included:

  • What kind of professional do you aspire to become?
  • What skills and competencies do you need to develop to achieve your professional goals?
  • What does giving your best look like in your current role?
  • What challenges prevent you from performing at your best, and how can you identify and address them?
  • What can you do differently to make a greater contribution to the Assembly’s work?
  • If you were promoted today, would you be ready to take on the responsibilities of a higher position?

She urged staff to take these questions seriously, remain committed to continuous learning, and demonstrate excellence in their respective roles.

The visit provided an opportunity for the delegation to assess development progress within the municipality and encouraged the Assembly to continue working towards improved service delivery, effective local governance, and sustainable development.
