The Focal Persons Engagement for the LEAP program, held on January 16, 2025, at the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly, brought together 58 participants to discuss concerns related to beneficiary selection, program implementation, and challenges faced. Key discussions focused on reassessing beneficiaries to ensure only those in need are enrolled, the importance of community participation, and improving data systems for better identification of vulnerable individuals. Challenges such as ineligible beneficiaries, data collection issues, political interference, and inadequate allowances for Focal Persons were highlighted. Recommendations included adjusting allowances, prioritizing beneficiary reassessment, and expanding the program to more deprived communities.
