MP Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo and MCE Hon. Sebastian Obeng Engage Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly Staff

As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and improve local governance, Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo, Member of Parliament for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, held a strategic engagement with staff of the Municipal Assembly. Held at the Assembly’s conference hall, the meeting aimed to foster open communication, assess operational challenges, and align development priorities.

Hon. Obeng opened the session by commending staff for their resilience and emphasized the power of teamwork in achieving the Assembly’s objectives. Staff members were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and highlight their roles and responsibilities.

Hon. Brefo praised the dedication of the workforce and reiterated his commitment to supporting the Assembly’s initiatives. He called for stronger collaboration and encouraged staff to share challenges openly so that collective solutions could be pursued.


Departmental heads raised critical issues including poor infrastructure, inadequate office space, lack of computers, and limited mobility for field activities. Both the MP and MCE acknowledged these concerns and pledged to work together to address them through short- and long-term planning.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with assurances from both leaders that staff welfare and effective service delivery would remain top priorities. The engagement was widely appreciated as a sign of proactive leadership and a shared commitment to the progress of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai.
