MR. ALFRED AMOAH, CONFIRMED AS THE DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE (DCE)

The bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District Assembly last Friday 12th May 2017 gave 96% an overwhelming confirmation to Mr. Alfred Amoah as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
Mr. Amoah, who was the Constituency Chairman for NPP for the Constituency during the 2016 general election, received 96% endorsement from 36 elected Assembly members and 16 Government appointees.
At the end of the election, under the supervision of Mr. Stephen Opoku Mensah the Regional Director of Electoral Commission (EC), Mr. Amoah pulled 48 yes out of the valid vote cast and 4 No at Assembly’s emergency meeting.
Hon. Alfred Amoah said in his acceptance speech that, he was much grateful to President Akufo Addo, the MP of the constituency and the Assembly members for the great opportunity given him as the DCE and calls for co-operation in moving the development agenda of the District forward.
He also promised to tackle the areas of sanitation, health, education and also resource the security service to combat against the rampant murder cases which has given away in the District again.
