ENGAGEMENT WITH FARMERS

The department of agriculture on the 12 july visited farmers of the following communities Wenchi, Dominibo no.1, Kwemekrom, Kwaaso, Fawokabra, Chenchanase, Abesinsuom, Lineso, Bethlehem.
The purpose of the visit was to interact and disseminate improved agricultural technologies to the farmers. Some of the improved technologies reached out to farmers includes; Row planting of maize and rice, minimum tillage, use of improved maize and rice varieties, timely harvesting, planting of early maturity variety, fertilizer application, pest and disease control, water use management safe use and handling of agrochemicals, lining and pegging of oil Palm and coconut farms etc.
