The BABDA successfully organized a staff meeting where the District Coordinating Director addressed members of staff.
In his remarks, he admonished staff comport and behave well especially in the political climate we are in. He cautioned that we will always remain Local Government officials and we must discharge our duties without any political coloration.
On attitude towards work, he encouraged the staff to adopt positive attitude towards their work and be time conscious in the delivery of their services.
He also spoke in the need for the staff to own the work just as a private man will own his enterprise, the need to serve the community, be each others keeper and ensure that we legitimately earn our salaries.
He categorically informed that the management of the Assembly have approved the new category two and three allowances and are prepared to pay subject to availability of funds.
During the open forum, concerns on vehicle maintenance, training for drivers, logistics and office equipment, security of Assembly assets, information flow, sanitation among others were addressed.
Also for the first time in many decades, the BABDA welfare Association draft constitution was read and approved and this after some many years, BABDA Welfare has been established again.
The meeting successfully came to an end with the constitution of an enterim executive committee to organize and work arrangements towards our maiden meeting on 14th of March 2017 where substantive executives will be elected.
