The Audit Committee of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, 6th October 2026, at the Municipal Assembly Hall.
The meeting, convened at the direction of the Committee Chairman, began in the morning and followed a structured agenda. Proceedings opened with the reading, correction and formal acceptance of the previous minutes, after which members considered matters arising from those minutes.
Key items on the agenda included a detailed discussion of the Internal Audit Reports for the first and second quarters of 2026. The Committee also examined the 2025 Audit Committee Report in preparation for its forthcoming engagement with the Local Government and Rural Development Committee of Parliament.
The Audit Committee Members together with Co-Opted Members that includes the Municipal Chief Executive, the Municipal Coordinating Director, the Finance Officer and the Internal Auditor were present.
In the closing remarks of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sebastian OBENG, he acknowledged the efforts of Committee members in strengthening internal financial controls of the Assembly.
