Commissioning of small town water system and toilet facility at Akoti/Etwebo.

A-(GH¢ 1,555,448.00) Small town water system and Toilet Project Constructed by Messrs, JPP Construction Limited has been Commissioned and hand over to the inhabitants of Sefwi Ahwiaa, Akoti and Etwbo respectively in order to have access to clean and good drinking water.
Speaking at the program, The Vice President who doubles as a General Manager of Chirano Gold Mines Limited Mr. Adriano Sobrira said, Chirano Gold Mines Limited has consistently live by its core values “Putting People First and Outstanding Corporate Citizenship.
He continued that, The Provision of these projects are in line with Chirano’s Corporate Social Responsibility of Promoting local Development in the areas of potable water and sanitation. According to him, Access to clean water is not a basic need of mankind but a necessity to sustain all forms of lives in the world. Human survivals is dependent on water. We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.
The occasion was graced with many dignitaries including the Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso Hon. Lious Owusu Agyeapong, District Chief Executive for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Hon. Alfred Amoah, Chief of Akoti Nana Oppong, Chief of Sefwi Etwbo Nana Yaw Gyam II. Others were Staffs from both Wiawso Municipal Assembly and Bibiani District Assembly as well.
The Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Lious Owusu who speaks on behalf of the beneficiaries Commended the Management of Chirano Gold Mines Limited for the numerous support to the Communities within their catchment areas and urged the Chiefs and Elders of the various towns to ensure regular maintenance of the projects to serves the purpose of which it was established.
The Chief of Sefwi Etwbo Nana Yaw Gyam , also thanked the authorities of Chirano Gold Mines for their kind gesture.
Nana therefore used the opportunity to call on other Companies operating within the Districts to follows the good steps of Chirano Gold Mines Limited.
